Privacy notice

Last updated: 10 October 2026

How PuroSoft Oy, the company behind huoku, handles personal data. In short: this website counts visits without cookies and without identifying you; when we exchange email about business, we keep what that takes, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Who is responsible

The controller is PuroSoft Oy, a Finnish company (Business ID 3501344-2). Its registered address is public in the Finnish Trade Register (ytj.fi).

For anything about your personal data, write to privacy@huoku.ai.

This website

The site uses no cookies, has no forms, and loads its fonts from our own server. The booking buttons open your own email program; nothing is sent until you send the email.

To see which pages are read and where visitors come from, we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia), which keeps its data in the EU. It stores nothing on your device and keeps no IP addresses or visitor profiles: we see totals, such as page views, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type and country, and how often the email links are clicked. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

When you contact us

If you email us, we process what you send: usually your name, email address, company, role and the message. We use it to answer you, arrange meetings and, if we work together, to manage the customer relationship.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in business communication (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, when we prepare or carry out an agreement with your company, that agreement (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Business contacts we contact first

We contact companies we think huoku could help. For that we process business contact data of people whose role makes the offer relevant to them:

  • Name, job title, company, work email address and work phone number.
  • Public information about the company, such as news, press releases, job postings and its website.
  • Sources: company websites, press releases and news, public registers and professional networks.
  • We may use our own software, huoku, to find and assess companies and draft the first message. A person reviews every message before it is sent, and no decision about you is made automatically.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in marketing our services to businesses (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Every message says how to opt out. If you object, we stop and keep only what we need to make sure we do not contact you again.

Who else processes the data

We do not sell personal data or share it for others' marketing. Service providers process data on our behalf, under a data processing agreement: Amazon Web Services (website hosting), Microsoft 365 (email) and Plausible Analytics (website statistics). When huoku helps with outreach, it runs on a cloud service in Finland and uses an AI model provider in the EU.

We keep the data in the EU/EEA. Amazon and Microsoft belong to US-based groups; where data could be accessed from outside the EU/EEA, this is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Email with people who contacted us: 2 years after our last exchange, unless we work together.
  • Customer contacts: for the customer relationship and 3 years after it ends, longer only where accounting or other law requires.
  • Business contacts who did not reply: 12 months after our last message.
  • Opt-outs: as long as needed to respect them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use, or receive it in a machine-readable format where that applies. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time, without giving a reason.

Write to privacy@huoku.ai. We answer within one month. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland (tietosuoja.fi).

Changes

We update this notice when our processing changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
